It is thrilling to see the power of words.
Electrifying.
Mesmerizing.
Dangerous.
Seductive.

Camino de Santiago and Happy Holidays!
Well my best friend left on a journey today back to the Camino de Santiago for a Christmas pilgrimage. Needless to say it was strange to not be on the plane with her, but sometimes that is the direction which life takes you. The rough draft of the Winter Hiking Guide went with her today, along with a digital copy End of the Rainbow on her iPad.

Winter Survival Guide
I am looking to finish the rough draft tonight and to then send it through the initial spellcheck process so I can get it out to my tester for field examination. Granted, I keep considering making my own diagrams for this, but right now the text is more important than artwork. Seems like a thrilling night of writing!

And success!
Well I now officially have my book on sale at both BN.com and Amazon.com in the Kindle Store, including links to each. I've been told they make great holiday gifts!
But I am back after several days with my grandmother, which she is feeling much better. But it was good to get out of town, even if I didn't have access to my work. So I felt anti-productive, but Granny is worth it.

Diving in headfirst (and trying not to scream too loud)...
Well diving into the wide world of ebooks this week, needless to say it can be a bit intimidating, but I have never lost a fight I picked. Granted, this is a huge uphill learning battle, but what can I say, I enjoy the good fight. It just means I need to work harder at night to get my winter survival guide done for the Camino de Santiago (well winter hiking in general) in the next few weeks.
Yes, I know, there are probably hundreds if not thousands of websites which can give advice on the subject matter, but they tend to repeat the same dubious info over and over again. But lets face it, I'm an old Boy Scout, and I've learned a thing or two since I got my first Polar Bear Award.
After I make this material, I am considering adding it to my ebooks on my seller sites. As always, come here for more info in the future.

Nook and Kindle ebooks submitted!
Well, I did it. I pressed the scariest button in the world: Submit. Twice! But in 24-72 hours I shall be online and you can find my first book, End of the Rainbow, at BN.com and Amazon.com.
Time to drink a celebratory coffee.

Just about done with the first ebook
Well I have now just about finished all the extra work needed to sell my first ebook. I just finished up some cover artwork and the blurb and letting my friends fight over which cover is the best. By Monday my first ebook, End of the Rainbow, should be on sale at Amazon.
