Frustration

Writing is an art form as much as putting a paintbrush onto canvas. In this 'digital' age the writers paintbrush has taken a new form and your vision suddenly falls to the whim of a painter who has no right to change your words. So when I had a friend point out tonight that my book had errors in it I was stunned. Going through my hard copy and what was saved in the file, I realized that the program which I was running on my PC had 'auto-corrected' the book without my permission. My hard work marred by a programmer far away who thought that he or she knew more than I did about what I had written down.

So needless to say that although I might have been awake for close to twenty hours at this point, I have corrected the mistakes which this program made to my words. I am glad that I had caught this before I had submitted several very important documents for my applications into graduate school. I truly have entered a writer's worst nightmare, but I have caught it in time.
